What are the some rare natural phenomena that occur on Earth ?

1. Cloud Waves (Panama)

At first glance, it may appear as though tsunami is poised to crash over the Florida coastline. According to Dr Greg Forbes, of Weather.com, the phenomenon occurred as a result of warm, moist air forming 'just right' as it blew into the coastline, forming a low-lying fog that dissipates as the air cools with altitude.




2. Vadhoo Island, Maldives

This is the Gorgeous glowing beach of Maldives  

This glow-in-dark is basically a natural phenomenon called ‘Bioluminescence’ wherein light is emitted or created by a living organism. Moreover, the sea is vast, mysterious and full of unknown creatures; it is believed that there are several marine animals that are capable of performing light-producing action. And, therefore, the light produced at Mudhdhoo Beach (Vaadhoo Beach) is because of these organisms, which lights up the sea’s shorelines in the most magical manner.



3. Frost Flowers (Ice flowers)

It is as beautiful as it is rare.  A frost flower is created on autumn or early winter mornings when ice in extremely thin layers is pushed out from the stems of plants or occasionally wood. This extrusion creates wonderful patterns that curl and fold into gorgeous frozen petioles giving this phenomenon both its name and its appearance. (more...)

If you’re ever near the North or South Pole, you may be in for a very special treat. Frequently there are beautiful light shows in the sky. These lights are called auroras. Ladakh, a region in the northernmost state of Jammu and Kashmir is known for its rugged and raw landscape, the bluest of skies, the warmest of sunshine, the kindest of people, and a distinctive culture. It is also known for its Magnetic Hill, a hill slope believed to be defying gravity with its magnetic powers that apparently pull metal objects like cars uphill.
