Advanced level of Precautions to be taken after returning from work to home.
• If you have a co-resident or housekeeper, call and ask them to open the door
• Do not touch any common surfaces like lift buttons, door handles, etc. and in case you have touched such a surface, immediately wash your hands till the elbows before touching anything else, especially your face.
•It is recommended to leave the shoes at the entrance, to avoid any contaminants inside the house.
• In case it is not feasible, consider removing your shoes outside and carry them to a wash area to clean them with a soap solution.
• Remove the used PPEs such as masks or gloves and wash them separately if reusable.
• PPEs should be stored in a separate bag if they are in a usable condition or should be discarded appropriately in a closed bin.
• Remember to sanitize your hands after handling any PPEs and follow WHO guidelines on PPE usage and disposing of.
• Leave your overalls and/or change your uniform (if any) preferably at the worksite.
• Suit down completely as soon as you get home and immediately put the clothes for washing.
• Launder your clothes on the warmest setting, separately if possible, after each wear.
• Take a hot shower, wash hair, and use soap.
• Identify an isolation zone/container/carton in your home and keep a sanitization kit handy next to it.
• Upon entering, place all carry-ons such as wallet/purse and bags and its contents as well as other pocket items such as keys, loose change, etc. in the isolation zone only, thus separating it from other household items.
• Sanitize all possible items and then wash your hands with soap.
